With an ecological philosophy in the genesis of this trail, the ECOLOGIC TRAIL RUN AZORES aims to provide to all athletes an experience in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Azores - São Miguel Island - Ribeira Grande.

The success of the event held in 2019, leads us to meet and exceed the expectations of the athletes, so this year, the organization added another day to the event.

Saturday (June 20) a Sunset Trail named ECOLOGICSunSet 21k, followed by a party with food and music during a beautiful sunset on the north coast of  São Miguel Island. Also on Saturday, along with the ECOLOGICSunset, will take place a Walk of 11k. On Sunday (June 21) will take place the main events, the Ultra Trail (49k) - ECOLOGIC49K (National Trail Championship - series 100 - ATRP)

It's a tremendous responsibility but the challenge drives us! We are more than motivated! The C.D. Metralhas club  is again committed, with the same desire of the past editions and with the mission to take the our athletes to explore the "less commercial" landscapes of São Miguel Island of a dazzling beauty. 

 

The Ecologic Trail Run Azores - Ribeira Grande 2020, is again listed in the Portuguese Trail Circuits- series 100, of the Portuguese Trail Association (ATRP), which confirms the excellency of the organization and the potential of this event.

This year there are no excuses. You have the difficulty of a TRAIL and the shorter distances  SUNSET TRAIL and WALK, that allows all of those who want taste this sport or just want to take a walk in nature, together with his family, accompanied by a specialized technician.
